Instructions for Filling the ONLINE Application Form & Admit Cards

The Common entrance examination for design (CEED) is an all India examination which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. The CEED tests the candidate’s ability towards creativity, visual perception, logical reasoning, design aptitude, drawing skills etc. 
 
CEED 2015 Application form details

The common entrance examination for design (CEED) should be submitted online through the website, www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015. The application form fee of the non-refundable amount of fee is Rs.2000 for men of general and OBC category, Rs.1000 for male SC/ST category, Rs.1000 for all the female candidates. The candidates who claim to be belonging to the SC/ST category should b able to submit the valid certificates from the appropriate authorities.     

The candidates belonging to the PwD category should be producing a valid medical certificate issued by the appropriate authority. The application fee has to be paid through the ‘State Bank of India Collect facility’. The details of using the facility are given at the official website www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015. 

Instructions for filling the online application form  

The instructions to fill the online application form are provided along with the application brochure in the official website for the candidates to read carefully before submitting the application form. 

The CEED 2015 application form involves the requirement of the copies of the photograph and signature of the applicant. The candidates are required to upload good quality photographs and signature copies to the application form and the website. 

Photograph specifications

The photograph specifications are given below.     

1.       The photograph must be in color to be taken at a professional studio. The mobile phone photographs and self portraits are to be completely avoided for the uploading.  
2.       With a light background, the photograph should not be more than 3 months old.
3.       The candidate’s face should occupy 50% of the photograph area looking in to the camera directly.
4.       Glass glare (if the candidate wears a glasses or spectacles) should be completely avoided. The candidates may remove their glasses for the photo shoot.
5.       The candidate may ask the photographer to provide the photo in JPEG image format to upload the same in the application form.
6.       It is good not to change your hair style or change your facial features until the day of the examination.
7.       Maximum and minimum pixel specification: 640*480 and 320*240 respectively.


Signature specification

The signature specifications are given below. The candidates are asked to go through them and upload accordingly. 

1.       Please put your signature using either Blue or Black ink on a white paper.
2.       Only JPG image formats are accepted.
3.       The signature should be digitally photographed or scanned by the professional photo studio and if required get it cropped by them.
4.       Maximum and minimum pixel format- 800*300 and 400*150 respectively.   

Admit cards

The admit cards will be available for download from the website from the date of 7th November to 6th December, 2014. The candidates are required to take a print out of the admit card in color to attend the examination.
