MDes Admission Procedure

The test will be held in the month of March from 9.00 am onwards at the convocation hall of IITB. This will be followed by an interview at IDC in March. The list of selected candidates (provisional) will be displayed on www.iitb.ac.in site in the month of March. The candidates selected for admission (provisional) will be required to pay the admission fees and other deposits in the month of March. Wait listed candidates will have an opportunity for admission, if any of the selected candidate do not pay the fees in time. The selected candidates after payment of requisite fees will be required to register for the course in the month of July. The course starts in July. Once the semester starts, you will not be able to take any break till the winter vacation which starts on 1st December.

M. Des Programme for Foreign Nationals

1. A minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grades (6.0/10.0 or 2.4/4.0) at the qualifying examination.

2. Valid TOEFL score (for candidates from non-english speaking countries)

3. Outstanding portfolio (to be evaluated by PGC of IDC, IIT Bombay)
